Unphased: Reimaging Public Sector Digital Delivery
The phased approach to public sector product delivery is broken. Whilst developed with the right intentions, the Service Standard phases have become barriers for teams who want to deliver value fast and who work in a truly agile way. We’re seeing teams fall back into waterfall working patterns and delaying the delivery of value.
This talk will explore what we need to change about the traditional phases - discovery, alpha, beta, live - to deliver value quicker and help teams solve problems.
We will look at what could happen if we remove the phases, without losing the ambition of the Service Standard, and whether we could deliver strong public sector outcomes more quickly and efficiently than we currently do.
Key takeaways:
-The problem with phases
-Rethinking agile procurement
-How to be truly agile
